Watford to Croxley Green - Part 3
Moving West and it wasn't long before we hit the next station - Watford West.
The way out.
:Except is wasn't a very good way out as the top of the stairs just led to another big spiky fence where we got some funny looks from people passing by.
The boys hoped the trolley would still contain a pound coin. It didn't.
Just to the West of the station were the remains of an old semaphore signal.
Then we reached an unexpected set of buffers. Unexpected because, as far as I could find out, this was never the end of the line. However, it's possible they were just put here for safety reasons as this line was still joined to the mainline for about nine years. Mind you, the trees growing out of the track would have had largely the same effect on trains as the buffers themselves.
